This is the young people hard at work in the go-kart program
learning how to re-build karts.

We are a new company near Wakefield offering the young people of Yorkshire and Humberside a chance to learn through practical skills such as a go-kart maintenance program a joinery program and the bicycle program. We aim to help disadvantaged young people to gain skill that may help them in their future lives. Skills that may help them find employment or just help them in their homes.
Go - Kart MaintenanceThe kart maintenance program they will learn how to strip a kart to just a bare chassis and repair anything broken. then re-building them to a high standard. Each student will take part in every aspect of the process so they know how and what makes the karts work.
The Joinery program will learn the young people how to use basic hand tools making things like bird boxes / planters / window boxes /DVD storage racks / book cases etc where they can either take home or we will give to local elderly people for them to enjoy.
Bicycle programThe bicycle program will learn the young people how to strip down old bicycles and re-build a bicycle painting it in their own design and making sure it is road legal ie:- brakes and tyres are at a good standard and will learn road safety (cycling proficiency test). We will send the bicycles to Africa to help the doctors and children to get to school etc
AccreditationsEach program will be accredited through ASDAN key skill where they gain points for team work / problem solving and improving their own skills. its not just a walk in the park the young people will actually work hard for their grades
